Professional Profile

My name is Anton Lohvynenko. I am a Solutions Architect with a strong engineering background and practical experience in building, modernizing, and supporting software systems.

My core professional focus includes:

  • Solutions Architecture
  • Cloud solutions
  • DevOps and deployment automation
  • Backend engineering
  • AI-Assisted Engineering
  • Technical consulting and pre-sales
  • Software modernization
  • Team and technical leadership

I have over 15 years of experience in software engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Science.

What I Help With

Software Architecture

I help design scalable, maintainable, and reliable software systems aligned with business needs. My goal is to make architecture practical, understandable, and useful for both engineering and business teams.

Cloud and DevOps

I work with cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, CI/CD, containerization, and operational improvements that help teams deliver software more reliably.

Legacy Modernization

I help analyze existing systems, identify technical risks, and plan modernization steps without unnecessary rewrites or uncontrolled changes.

AI Readiness

I am interested in practical AI adoption in software engineering, including AI-assisted development workflows, documentation, modernization, and architecture planning.

Technical Consulting

I support teams during discovery, estimation, technical audits, pre-sales, and architectural decision-making.

Education

I finished high school in Kharkiv, Ukraine. After that, I graduated from the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics with a Master’s degree in Computer Science.

My education was based on a five-year program in Specialized Computer Systems, which gave me a strong technical foundation in computer science, systems engineering, and software development.

Career Path

During my student years, I worked part-time as a system administrator. That was the beginning of my IT career and gave me valuable practical experience with networking, Linux, on-premises server infrastructure.

Later, I realized that I wanted to grow in software development. I started learning programming on my own, focusing on PHP and web development. I learned the basics of PHP, HTML, CSS, and Joomla CMS, and used those skills to build several websites.

After building my self-learning skills, I applied for a Junior PHP Developer position at MobiDev. MobiDev hired me, and that became the starting point of my professional career in software development.

Over the years, I grew as an engineer, technical leader, and architect. I gained broad experience in software development, solution design, DevOps, consulting, and technical decision-making.

I also gained management experience by leading PHP and DevOps departments at MobiDev. I helped people develop their skills and grow as engineers. My daily responsibilities included research activities, pre-sales support, and transforming company strategic goals into clear objectives within my departments.

I currently work at MobiDev, where I contribute across multiple areas, including Solutions Architecture, consulting, pre-sales, DevOps, AI-assisted software development, and technical leadership.

Development Experience

I have 15+ years of experience in IT, including backend development, system administration, DevOps, technical leadership, and solution architecture.

My experience covers the design, development, deployment, and modernization of business-critical software systems across multiple domains.

Key areas of experience include:

  • Software architecture for backend, web, API-first, and cloud-based systems
  • Backend development with PHP, Python, Symfony, Laravel, Yii, Flask, SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Technical leadership, code review, mentoring, architecture planning, and technology selection
  • Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, AWS, Google Cloud, and Linux-based environments
  • E-commerce, online marketplace, retail ERP, POS, inventory management, accounting, and reporting systems
  • Data engineering and Data Science support systems, including data collection, background processing, and analytical dashboards
  • Geolocation-based platforms, taxi services, mobile APIs, payment integrations, routing, maps, and real-time communication
  • Social networking platforms with search, media processing, messaging, likes, follows, and user interactions

Professional Interests

I am especially interested in the intersection of architecture, business needs, and modern engineering practices.

My current areas of interest include:

  • Practical software architecture
  • Cloud solutions
  • DevOps and infrastructure automation
  • Scalable SaaS systems
  • Software migration and modernization
  • Technical audits and discovery
  • AI-Assisted Engineering
  • Improving engineering productivity

Hobbies

I like almost everything related to information technology: computers, electronics, programming, old hardware, and software systems. Technology is both my profession and one of my main hobbies.

I also love and respect nature. I enjoy visiting quiet and beautiful places outside the city, especially locations where nature shows its beauty. These trips help me switch my mind away from work, recharge, and return with fresh ideas.

Another topic that excites me is the history of old computers and consoles. I am interested in old consoles and retrogaming. I enjoy finding old, non-working consoles, restoring them, and playing games on them.

I have already collected several consoles, which you can see here: My Consoles.
